This week I got a look through the timetable for the next semester and it looks like another busy week with only Thursday morning off (till 11.15 that is).
Gordon's classes at the start of the week was raver quick and simple with the tidying of portfolios needed done and I think that the OPP class with Graeme is done until Graeme says otherwise. Stephen's classes had me feeling like I was making good progress with the video making part getting done and, with Ryan's help, I started getting my portfolio for the video class written up. The IOC portfolio for Graeme, I think is done, only the last exercise, Exercise 6, dealing with email is giving me a headache as I try to get proof of using it but try not to give to much of my personal details away.
Well, that is this class, this week and this year done and so ends my time at Longman building in the year 2014 AD. Just six months to go for our time in Longman building and all in the year 2015 AD.
Wish us all luck for the New Year and a Merry Christmas to all

Week Fifteen - Christmas on the Horizon
Last week before we finish for the Christmas Holidays. Hard to believe that it's this close already. I hope that this week will be about tidying up any mistakes and that I will get the Video and Audio Editing classes project done this week and the paperwork for it.
I better finish up - Gordon's here.
Wish us all luck - and Merry Christmas

Week Fourteen - Busiest Week - Review
The busiest week for me is over. HOORAY!
I managed to build a computer in class and I have to be careful to make sure that all is done before I switch it on. The Video and Audio class is murder for me. The group I'm supposed to be in has either done their work by themselves or are not coming to the class at all making me feel left behind, I'm just glad that Stephen and Robert Parish helped with my interviews with Stephen and Gordon. All I have to do check the paperwork and put it all together. Graeme's class on Thursday, I felt like I was about to fall asleep at the start (thank goodness that I didn't).
I was busy at Eden Court with the performance of Sweeney Todd and Maria Marten. I have created a link to my Eden Court blog about the performance this week:

Hard to believe that next week is the last before we finish for Christmas. I hope that next week won't be just as busy.
Wish us all luck

Week Fourteen - Busiest Week of the Month
The busiest week for me is officially underway!
It still have an interview with Gordon to ask for the Video and Audio Project, but first I must built a computer for him today before we can continue on with the class and before we head home for Christmas.
At Eden Court, it's all busy for Sweeney Todd and Maria Marten (which I am in). Last night we managed to get a complete run-through for the Maria Marten before we had to do all over again with an audience watching. Tonight we've got to do it again and then on Wednesday for the grand finale.
The busiest week has just busier for me and for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirteen - Review of week
This week is a mixed feelings week for me. I've managed to get an interview for my Video and Audio Project (with Stephen) on Wednesday and I would like to interview perhaps Gordon if he likes to be interviewed. The test in Graeme's Thursday class has been postponed till next week so there's till time to read up for then.
It looks like next week is going to be the busiest week for me especially on Tuesday and Wednesday for I finish at 4 in the afternoon and I have to be at Eden Court for five in order to get ready for the performance of Sweeney Todd and Maria Marten.
I hope that next week will work out well.

Week Thirteen - Tuesday 2nd of December
We've got some week ahead for us. We've got visiting students from Dingwall so we are going to prepare some computers (ten of them) by taking them apart so they can see the insides then put it all back together tomorrow. I still need to find interviews for the Video and Audio Project and then an assessment with Graeme on Thursday.
Wish us all luck for this week

Week Thirteen - Review of Week Twelve
I'm sure that it's "Help me bob!" but I'm not so sure of the last word, but, after last week, it's close enough. Last week I was at Longman between 9 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon, then I was at Eden Court for the rehearsals of Sweeney Todd and Maria Marten between 6 in the afternoon till 10 in the evening, both on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thankfully it was only them two days and the only one class on Thursday between 9 and 11 in the morning and I had the rest of the week to relax from the hard work.
Well, wish me luck for this week.

Week Twelve
It's already week twelve and it's hard to believe it and I'm half dead tried. The 25th of November (yesterday) has made it a month till Christmas which is just as hard to believe. In Gordon's class yesterday, we were told that we will be taking computer system apart for visiting students from Dingwall so that will be fun for. Stephen's class project has been interesting but I don't have an overall plan, but a rough plan which I'll make it up as I go along and see how it turns out at the end.
I hope that this week will go well for me and for all on the course. Wish us all luck.

Week Eleven - Review of Week Ten
Last week was a hard week to start with, with assessments all day and I was busy at Eden Court that same evening. Wednesday morning showed proof of the hard, I went and bought a bottle of Dr Pepper, thinking, on arrival of College that I forgot my own bottle of pop that I bought on Monday, only to realise that I hadn't forgotten by bottle of pop at all. The rest of the week must have been easier and less busy for I can't remember it except for the fact that Thursday was the last Starting to Write class for the term at Eden Court till after Christmas.
One of Gordon's assessments wasn't as successful as I would have liked but I've got a re-sit tomorrow and I hope that I do better than last week.
Wish me and everyone who's doing the re-sit and having a busy week the best of luck.

Week Ten
I'm half knackered this morning. After the two assessments yesterday with Gordon, failed the first and passed the second, I had a third assessment with Graeme covering Excel that use Vlookup, something I never heard of before and never used. I managed to push on and managed to get a real distance in it. I hope that to-day will be easier.
Last night, I was busy at Eden Court with Dramalab in the rehearsals of Sweeney Todd and Maria Marten. There are so many in the Dramalab, that we have been put into two groups, one for Todd and the other for Maria, and my group did a show of work to the other group and I must admit that the show of work went well, just see the other group and we will get into the rehearsals in depth.
If you wish to wish me luck for college, I'll take it. If you wish to wish me luck for Dramalab, just say "Break a leg" for it's considered bad luck saying "Good luck" before a performance.

Week Nine - Preparing for next week
Yesterday seemed to go by quickly with only Gordon till after twelve. Only down side was that it was raining on-and-off all day. It looks like Gordon's Hardware and Software class will be busy next Tuesday with a test. Tuesday will be busy for me for it's the day I'm doing a show of work for Maria Marten later that same evening.
The Video and Audio Editing classes might be interesting with a visitor telling us about the copyright aspects. I have studied the aspects of copyright a few times that has caused me to forget how many, but I'll go for the class and understand how it can help me in the class project about Longman.
I hope Graeme isn't going to sneak off to after meeting for tomorrow morning's class.
Wish us luck for the rest of the week.

Beamish
Beamish is a fantastic living open air museum in County Durham, just south of Newcastle. Using old fashioned buses or trams, you can travel back in time to 1825 Pocketly Manor and its railway, complete with a ride on Puffy Billy.
Then there's the 1913 Mining village, where you learn the life a miner's family, and with the village's mine that you can go down into, right down to the work face and learn of the workers who mine the coal that made Great Britain and its Empire that great power of its day. Lunch of fish and chips are served in newspapers behind the village church, which is next door to the village school where could be the belt if you're late or misbehave.
Then you can visit the 1913 Town where you can visit the bank to learn the old currency (Pounds, Shillings and Pennies, just don't forget the Half-Pennies) and if you times the old currency seventy times you will get today's currency. After the bank you can visit the sweet shop where the sweet jars are on display for all to see then to the tea shop for a cup of tea.
There is plenty to see and do at Beamish. Enjoy your visit if you pass by.

End of the Eighth Week
Hard to believe that this week, the eighth week, has gone past already. It seems that almost everyone I knew has been busy. Gordon has asked us to do a survey about the course so far and I answered it the best I could. Hard to believe that Ali has left the college, I hope to see him around somewhere.

Alnwick Gardens
I'd say that the best kind of day to go to Alnwick Gardens is a sunny and dry day with no hint of rain in the weather forecast. Just be careful not to get wet at the fountains or near the main waterfall that you see first at the Garden gate and don't get lost in the Bamboo maze or in wonder of the flower garden at the top end of the Garden. If you do go, I hope that you enjoy it all.

10th College Blog - Back at the end of holidays
Hard to believe that it's been two weeks and that the October Holidays has ended. I hope that this week will go well and we can get back into the swing of things. Wish us all luck till Christmas.
Northumberland and Newcastle was great, the weather managed to hold, especially at Alnwick Gardens where the only water that falls is from the fountains. Beamish hasn't changed. Pegswood, my home village, and Morpeth, the neighbouring town has changed; Appleby, Morpeth's book shop is closing.

Fifth Week
A wet week and no sight of any break in the weather. This week so far as been refer quiet so far with the final pieces of the operating systems have been installed. Today will be the deep end of the pool as the Video and Aduio assessment is today with some extra revision before we all take the plunge. Wish us all luck.

Fifth Week
Hard to believe that this is the sixth week already, the first five seems to have flown by quickly. Just wondering where it has all gone.
This week is back to normal and has started well with Gordon's return to college. Installing the operating systems were interesting to do and were quick and easy, only Paint.net the most troublesome system while installing it onto the computer. The file handling files were a little tricky to do and understand but I have at least attempted them with a few pointers from Graeme. Lets hope the rest of the week goes well.

End of the Fourth Week
Hard to believe that this week passed by as the quietest of all the weeks so far. No Gordon for the majority of the first day, but a test on Tuesday's last class. Wednesday was just as half sleepy, but reminders of what is needed for the Video and Audio Editing classes. Now Graeme is not in this morning and he's the only class I have today's morning. Hopefully that Fifth Week will be back to normal.

Fourth Week
It is the fourth week and this week seems to start rather slowly. I fell that I am doing well with the BKSB in the SkillZone at the LRC, practically the maths section. Now we are on our own for the BKSB.

Third Week - Start of the Thick of it
It's the third week and already it looks like we will be right in the "thick of the action" with the research for the regulations set by the Government. I hope that I can get the right information for class.

Beginning second week
Hard to believe the first week went by as quick as it did and that the second week has begun now. There might have been a little hiccups here and there but nothing too serious and all is well. Just told about floppy disks, the father of CDs, hard to believe I started learning to use when the CDs just started. Quite unbelievable of the amount of computer memory can be stored nowadays compared to twenty or thirty years ago. I hope to learn more.

Video Making
I never thought the video making could sound interesting within the first couple of classes, I hope that it will go well and I get as much help as possible.
Second College Blog Post
It may be over five years since I left school but the odd number of old friends really do meet up in the right place, at the right time. I do hope to stay in touch with them.
