We have two weeks left! - It feels like a race to get as much work done as possible.
I have submitted another application for net year at college, all I can do now is to wait and see.
I have finished Communications - and it was a good class despite the changing lecturers for the class.
We are struggling to find a way to control our animation on the webpages we put the animations on (play, pause and stop). Donald has tried, but just can't get it to work. In fact the video David gave us to figure out how to make the command buttons is using an older version of the Flash Player (the video was downloaded in 2011). Thankfully Slywester has given a link that seems to give more information than David's link. Hopefully we get somewhere with the video.
In Suzanne's Software Development, I will likely have to do a resit assessment for the class. The same can be said for her Maths class, as I haven't heard of my assessment results.
In Adrian's PAT last week, we did an assessment, hopefully we'll find out how we did. The same for Adrian's Network Report.
Updated at 17.03: Working on the Animation is proving hard, but thankfully we might be able to get there, and we still have at least a week to do it.
I hope that this week goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Review of Week 36 - What a week!
2 weeks left now. What week! - Looking back, it feels chaotic.
I need to make action buttons for David's Animation piece, Donald has tried to make a couple but was had problems making it work. We have better ask David next Monday.
Suzanne's Maths class is chaos, many of us are ahead, while others are far behind. I have attempted the Outcome 4 Assessment, but I'm not so sure about it. I've done what the questions asked of me.
I have attempted, and failed, Software Development's Outcome 1 Assessment. Chances are I'll be doing a re-sit.
For Adrian's Network class, all that is needed done is the logbook report on the network I created with Donald.
I hope that next week and the last two weeks goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Week 36 - Three Weeks of College Left
Three weeks left! - I can't believe it, it gives the feeling that there still tons of work to do.
For David, I think that I might only just manage the animation part, since David is still trying to get the DME video all done. I have managed to cause the seagull to grow in size from start to finish.
In Suzanne's Tuesday's Troubleshooting class, I will likely be revising for the Maths class's assessment. Software Development is up for question.
On Wednesday, we will have the second part of the Maths Outcome 3 assessment, then we will have Responsibility of Employment assessment during our PAT class.
Thursday is likely be just the same as last week, making sure that any unfinished work are done and handed in.
I hope that this week goes well us all.
Wish us all luck.

100th College Blog - Review of Week 35 and of time blogging
My 100th College Blog - I just can't believe that I've posted a hundred college blogs.
I started my College Blog last year when Gordon asked us to do some blogs for the class Weblogs. At first, I was uncertain about doing blogs, but Gordon helped me get into it and set me up. Here's a link to my first College Blog, published all the way back on 27th of August 2014. I can't believe that I've done a 100 blogs over the past two years, with just over 1280 viewers. I hope to keep it up if and when possible.
David is happy of my video for the DME class, and so am I. Gordon has seen the video and has given a "Well done" review. Gordon has suggested that I perhaps take an NC Media course next year instead of HNC Computing, and thinking it over, I agree. I think that I'll do some research on that line of the course and before hopefully apply.
On Tuesday, I passed for the Troubleshooting report for Outcomes 2, 3 and 4, and I submitted my report for the Software Development class. The Software Development class has been a struggle I must admit, due the amount of work given and the short time given to study the work.
On Wednesday in Maths, we did the first part of Outcome 3 Assessment, the second part will be done next week.
In answer of the maths question from my previous blog, here's the link to it, and here's the answers below:
F = £18
h = £7.50
And the answer for F+8h is £78.
Well done if you got the correct answers.
We had a Network Mock Assessment, then the real Assessment. Adrian has sent us an email via Suzanne that it was a pass.
Today (Thursday) is just about revising for the second part of the Maths Outcome 3 Assessment.
Next week hopefully go well for us all and we will pass as many of our assessments as possible. I know I won't get the Group Award for the course, I can do my best for the rest of the course.
Wish us all luck.

Week 35 - Busy week ahead - and a little challenge for you
Four weeks of the course - unbelievable!
And it looks like it's to be a busy week with a few assessments.
David talks of a video of a helicopter he took, but I'm finding it hard to find, or even play, the video so I can see it. I'm finding myself struggling on the animation part for David. David has told us that we'll have a visitor next week, looking at the HNC level.
Tuesday (tomorrow) will most likely be finishing up reports for troubleshooting and software development.
On Wednesday, in Maths we've got an assessment. I have a meeting with our PAT later, and then after that we will have a Network assessment.
Just out of interest, I'd like to give a little maths test to you, since I've studied this sort of sum in maths.
Using a way to solve Simultaneous Equations, find the number figure for F (the day's wages) and h the hour rate for every hour of work) using the following formulas:
F+3h=£40.50
F+5h=£55.50
Then find the wages for an 8 hour rate using the formula: F+8h.
I'll give the answer in my next blog at the end of the week. Good luck.
Thursday is not that clear, but the last class of the day PC Passport I think I have finished with it, but I'll use the time for the Maths class.
I hope that this week goes well for all of us and you will find out the figures for F and h.
Wish us all luck.

Week 34 - Review of the week
What a week! Just four week left from Monday!
Suzanne's Tuesday class Troubleshooting, needs the report on Outcomes 2, 3 and 4 to be finished
Software Development class needs just the report typed up and handed in before we do the multiple-choice assessment.
Suzanne's Wednesday Maths class went well. We're doing Outcome 3, in which we solve the equation of a straight line on a graph and figure out the formula from a two versions of the same formula, it's quite fun. Our Outcome 3 Assessment is next week.
Adrian's Network class went well, and Donald and I in our own group was able to re-create last week's network and get the three computers to work and connect a printer to the network and print off a Notepad file. Next week, I have a PAT meeting with Adrian. I hope that it goes well.
For Gordon's Hardware re-sit assessment, I'm afraid that I didn't get to pass the subject.
For Suzanne's PC Passport class, I think that just need to revise for a multiple-choice assessment as I have finished and handed in my assessment project to Suzanne. Although Suzanne asked if I was ready for it today and I agreed to do it, and I passed. The class may be finished for me, but Suzanne has asked me to keep coming to make sure that the maths class gets done.
I hope that next week goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Week 34 - Sleepy Start of the week
Five weeks of college left - at best 31 days! Unbelievable!
All we need to do within these five weeks left of the course is to sort out what assessments we have left and when.
For David, the animation is to be put onto a webpage. All I need to do is to make an animation somehow. David seems to change what he asks us to do every week or so. And if you wish to use Adobe Flash Professional, don't move any of the icons' positions, it's near impossible to put them back. I hope that I'll get the hand on the animation part of the class.
Update added in at 16.30:
This afternoon, I have completed my paperwork for my video for David and I uploaded the video for David using FileZilla. I'm happy with my work on the video.
End of Update
Suzanne's Software class on Tuesday will be all about a theory assessment then there will be the write-up of the coding assessment.
In Suzanne's Maths on Wednesday, we will be learning Outcome 3 before the assessment for the outcome next week.
I will hopefully complete my Hardware multiple-choice assessment re-sit on Wednesday (which will be verbal to make things easier for me).
In Adrian's network class, we will connecting printer to our pieces of network.
I hope that this week goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Review of Week 33 - Season of Assessments under way
Another week done, just another five weeks of college left. It's unbelievable thinking about that and with so much left to do.
Monday was our day off due to the May Day Bank Holiday happening on the previous day (Sunday) and it's usually a custom to have the first of May off.
Tuesday in Suzanne's Software Development class, we finished our coding and submitted it to Suzanne. Her Troubleshooting class is all about finishing up a report for Outcome 2, 3 and 4.
Wednesday had an Maths Outcome 2 assessment for us (and I passed). Adrian's Network class had us put into teams and do a network connection between some computer we set up. I was teamed up with Donald (not the Donald Trump). We had three computers connected to the network, but only two connected fine for some unknown reason. Then, one of the tasks was to create a shared folder, and access the folder from another computer using the network, but Adrian, when we were connecting the computer, accidently deleted the desktop access, and the way to the shared folder, so Donald and I had to do the process again form the one computer that still had the network access to the neighbouring computer's desktop. And it worked, much to our joy. A lot of fun. Next week we'll be connecting to a printer hopefully and print the shared file.
Today, Thursday, we are working on our PC Passport assessment project. I've already done the database part in Access (and it was hard) and I have just done profit/loss part in Excel (and it was a lot easier). Suzanne as announced that the multiple choice assessment for the class will be in two weeks time (the 19th).
Next we've got the theory assessment for Suzanne's software class, and I will hopefully have a resit to a hardware class assessment I've been in need of doing since the start of the semester.
On the whole, I'd say that it's been a good week for us all. I hope that next week will go well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.
