Hello there
Sorry that I didn't get to you all since my last blog post in June. I have been busy with the new college campus here at Beechwood, studying NC Digital Media Level 6. This means that I'm a level higher than last year, and one level lower than HNC (Higher National Certificate). Beechwood is very different from Midmaills and Longman, here we have to wait for our lecturers to open our classroom doors in using ID cards (our student ones don't work). The library may be smaller (a lot smaller) but it is no less useful and the study area still works. There's only three floors (including the ground floor) here, so there's less stairs to go up. There's three canteens (two on the ground floor and the third on the top floor), but the queues on the top floor are a nightmare, even when it's quiet!
We started the course in August, but the colleg building was officially opened just last month. In this course, may of the classes are more or less the same as last year. One of the classes, PC Passport, has asked us to published a report od Encrypted Emails, I offered to publish it on my blog as it was easier to use my blog instead of creating a new webpage for the report.
For Webpage Design, we have David instead of Paula, and I'm redoing the project from last yaer on my favourite books. There's just so much to tell what I've been doing since we started at the campus.
I hope to return soon, I've been away from blogging too long
Wish all luck

Inverness College - End Of An Era
While I've been doing my blog at Inverness College, I have been doing a blog for my writing in my spare time. I tend to like writing short stories or novels (piece by piece). I have written poems, but not as many. Since that it's the last year at Longman campus for me. I decided to try to write poem on this blog for Inverness College.
We came from many schools
We came to learn more from higher levels
Some have come for a year
Some have come for longer time
Some are here full time
Some are here part time
Midmills may be old
But she will live after our move
Longman may be young
But she has many various futures ahead
Forestry Commission of Balloch,
The only campus I haven't been to
The doors are closing now
It's time to leave the old campuses
The new doors are opening
It's time to now in to the new campus
Farewell Longman and Midmills
And we all thank you both for what you taught us all
Here's a link to A New Chapter on my Writing Blog: http://chriswriting2014.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/a-new-chapter-begins.html
I hope that the new campus at Beechwood will help us all learn more everyday.
Wish all of us the very best of luck for the future as we leave Longman and Midmills. Here's to Beechwood.

Week Thirty-Seven - The End
The Digital Media Course at Longman is over.
Tuesday just feels like it starts like every week before this one. Gordon's Hardware classes are now all finished. Just took me under two hours to finish off the final reports of the final tasks to do for Gordon.
In answer to Gordon's riddle. (Here's a link to the blog post that has the riddle: http://chriscollegeblog2014.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/week-twenty-six-whats-in-store-this.html) Did you get the answer by yourself, if not here's the answer.
The answer is: The man who lives in the penthouse is a dwarf. The reason he gets off on the 30th floor is because the 30th floor is the highest button he can reach (and if he's got somebody else in the lift with him, they press the top button for him, and when it rains, he uses his umbrella to press the top button). Quite a good riddle from Gordon.
In all the times I don't have classes, I still come into Longman to finish off any unfinished work that I need to finish off before the course ends. I must admit to the fact I'll be walking up and down Longman's corridors and stairs to last time will be sad for me (all of Longman full of fond memories for me).
I am both glad and sorry that my classes with Graeme, Paula, David, Stephen and with my Communications classes are now over, but I think that I did very well in all of them. David's video is all done and so is the paperwork (I have no intention to go through the paperwork again if I can avoid it).
I have finished my ECDL Level 1 & 2, I hope that I have passed it all. I hope to start Level 3 next year, just have to hand in my application form for it, which I have done and I can get started on the Word Processing part of the course. Wish me luck for that when I hopefully start next year.
Farewell Longman and Midmills, we all thank you both.
Wish us all the best of luck for the future.

Week Thirty-seven - Final Week!
The Final Week Begins! - Unbelievable!
I just can't believe that it's our last week of not only the course, but at the Longman Campus - before we start at the new campus at Beechwood in just about 75 days from today.
I have just two tasks to finish off for Gordon in ther Hardware class. All of my classes with Graeme are over, but I will used the time then to make sure all the other college work is done. For Paula, I have to hand over the web page I've created for her class. I'm still worried of David's project I still need to do the paperwork for.
I hope that this final week goes well for us all.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-six - Review of the second last week
I feel half exhausted. Just one more week!
I'm happy to announce that Graeme's Enterprise and Still Images classes are done and passed.
Just some final touches to one or two reports in Gordon's classes next week.
David's class's paperwork is truly murder and I might never get is done in time for the end of the course, but I have enjoyed the class and David's company in the class and every pointers he has given over the course of the class since its start in January.
I hope that the last week will be one we will be triumphant over the work the college has thrown at us this year.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-six - One and half weeks left!
Just tomorrow and next week and my time on the Digital Media course will be over.
David's class, I think, just needs to do the paperwork of the video, and it seems like murder because it seems to be asking for so much, yet the video is barely four or five minutes long!
I have just to do the evaluations of my blog for Gordon: the design of the blog; the links in the blog, any use of multimedia (e.g. YouTube, etc.); who can type any of the posts (only myself); etc.
Looking back through the blog posts makes me wonder if I could continue this blog next year, now that I have gotten into the habit of posting on the blog.
I hope that next week (the last week) is have all of the major works completed and handed in and then I'll just have to wait till I can start at the new campus.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-six - Two Weeks Left!
Second last week of college at Longman. Hard to believe!
My last Level 1&2 ECDL Assessment was a PASS! I'm over the moon for that result.
Right now, it feels like I'm racing with the work left to do. I just need to give the DME video to David and make sure that the Web Page Creation Class's website I've been making for Paula is done.
I just need to write up the final reports for Gordon's Hardware and Software class and see which ones is left and correct any mistakes and tidy up any loose ends of the reports. Hopefully there's not too much to so.
In Graeme's Enterprise class last Thursday, my group, the Hub, did our presentation (or rather, I did) and I think that it went well. Just the presentation for Graeme's Still Images class tomorrow and I think that all of Graeme's classes will be done.
I hope that this week will go well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

60th Blog - Week Thirty-five - Review of the week
Just two weeks left - and boy does it feels like two days.
We have passed Gordon's Weblog's assessment. While I may have twice the amount of blogs needed for the class, a couple just need a couple more to complete Gordon's class.
I have completed the video for David's Wednesday class. I has been a challenge getting it done, but I'm glad that I managed to get it finished. All I need to do now is hand the video in.
Today in Graeme's Enterprise class, the group I'm in (called Hub), I was doing the presentation of our group's app, and I think that I lucky to survive giving the presentation (with help from Cameron with words and names that were hard to say). But yet, I think that the presentation went well. All I need to do for Graeme now is present my Still Images Presentation to the class on Wednesday and hope that everyone enjoys it.
All I have to do this week is do my final ECDL assessment tomorrow. After that, hopefully, my time on the ECDL Course will be over. If not, I'll have two weeks to do so.
When I walk out of Longman Campus in two Thursdays time, it will be the end of my time at Longman Campus and the end of an era of Inverness College.
I hope that our final two weeks goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-five - Two and a half weeks left
Tuesday and Wednesday are done. Just two more Tuesdays and Wednesdays and three more Thursdays.
There was an open day here at college. went around, finding one or two of my old lecturers and I found a couple of stalls that caught my eye.
I've had an assessment in Weblogs, and I hope that I've done well. After the assessment, I was back to evaluating the blogs I've followed this year and this blog I've been doing this year. I'd say that all has gone well.
Communications may be done, but I will still come at that time and make sure that any unfinished work is done and ready to been handed in to our lecturers.
On Friday, between 10 and 12, I'll be doing hopefully my final assessment of ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence), about Improving Productivity and hopefully I will be finished with ECDL for good.
Just two week left after this week. I hope that all goes well for all of us and that we finish the course on time.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-five - 90 Days till new Inverness College Campus
Today we have less than 90 days till students are allowed to in the new Inverness College Campus at Beechwood. Hard to believe.
I have placed a link to the Inverness College website that shows photos and videos of the progress of the building of Inverness College's new campus.
Here's the link to Inverness College's website's page of the new campus:
http://www.inverness.uhi.ac.uk/about-us/our-campus/new-campus
I hope and look forward being one of those students to attend the new campus.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-five - Three weeks left
Hard to believe - we just have three weeks left. On the previous courses I have done at College, they were done when I complete the tasks in each class.
This week looks like it will be full of assessments. I may not remember all of them, but I do know that the last will be on Friday, and will be the last ECDL assessment I'll ever do, so wish me luck on that one.
In Gordon's hardware and software class, I've got about half a dozen tasks left to do, all of them problem solving.
In Graeme's Enterprise class, my group will be presenting our app.
I just need to complete my video for David's DME class. I just need to record my voice over the sections of the video, then I hope that will be it done.
I hope that this week goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-four - Review of the week and More Questions from Gordon
This week, and I'm sure that the next three weeks will too, feel like I have been racing Jamaica's Usain Bolt (and struggling to keep up) in a marathon. But the course is getting there.
The Communications class on Thursday is all done and out of the way, but I'll still be coming the usual time to make sure that the work is getting done.
Gordon has given us some more questions on blogs in preparation for the assessment on weblogs.
Hopefully, the assessment on blogs are multiply-choice assessment next week.
I hope that next week and the remaining two weeks after that will go well for us all and we all do well enough to carry on next year.
Wish us all luck.

Gordon has given us some more questions on blogs in preparation for the assessment on weblogs.
- Where does the name Blog come from?
- When was the first blog created and by whom?
- How much personal information should you have on your Blog?
- What is the general term for all the Blogs that have been created?
Hopefully, the assessment on blogs are multiply-choice assessment next week.

Week Thirty-four - Three and a half weeks left
I must admit, I did have a little struggle with the hardware and software assessments, but I hope that I did enough to pass them. I have found and done the two blog reviews needed for Gordon's Weblog class, and I am glad of it. I just need to complete the Communications report, print it and hand it in. For Graeme's Enterprise class, I just have the presentation to prepare for.
I hope that the rest of the week and the remaining three weeks goes well for all of us on the course.

Week Thirty-four - End of a day of assessments
The assessments from Gordon has give me rather mixed feelings. The first assessment missed the pass mark by just two marks. I just hope that the second assessment went well, I'll find out tomorrow hopefully.
It looks like Gordon's Weblogs class tomorrow will be shared by Graeme's Enterprise class so I could be doing my group's presentation tomorrow, I just need to go over it before long and be ready for doing the presentation. I have done one of the last two blogs to do, so now I have one more to do before the course ends. Gordon says that if we need to come more during the week, it can be alright to do so, just have to make sure that Gordon knows when and what I'll be doing when I'm in.
Paula's class project is almost finished, I think that just need to download to somebody and wait for the results of my work.
I hope that the rest of the week goes well.
Wish all luck.

Week Thirty-four - Final four weeks begins
Just four weeks of the course left - and I still can't get it in my head of how short these last four weeks will be.
The new college campus is now open to the public, but there is just over 95 days left before any students can enter to study. I look forward to being one of them.
Today we have an assessment with Gordon and I hope that I will do well in it. Gordon has sent us some PAT Forms to fill in before the course ends that will give Gordon and our lecturers an idea of what we have achieved on the course and what's in store for us.
In Graeme's Still Images tomorrow we will be presenting our works to Graeme and the rest of the class (I hope that mine goes well). Then in Graeme's Enterprise class on Thursday, we will present our apps to Graeme and the class (I'll be doing my group's).
I have an idea of what I need for David's class. I just need to go around Inverness, take a few photos and recordings and then put them in a video or a presentation before the course ends.
I hope this week goes well for us all.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-three - Review of the week
End of the week - just four more to go for the course.
Today, some of us, not all, were to the Capgemini talk in G20 lecturer theatre and listened how the organisation has helped people find apprenticeships in the IT work area of business. The two sites nearest to Inverness are Inverness's Retail Park on the eastern side near the coats and in Nairn (opposite of where Salisbury's is, I'll have to keep an eye out for the building next time I pass Nairn to go to Brodie Castle and its grounds).
The report I have been doing for the Communications class on the 2004 video game Sid Meier's Pirates! is all but done. I just need to double check to number of words for the report and ask if the report is to be emailed or printed.
I have already accepted a conditional offer for the NC Digital Media Level 6 course for next year, just have to do my best for this course, wait and hope for the best. I hope to at least reach the HNC level as close as possible, after that, we'll see how I get on then decide whether or not to leave Inverness College. But, as I have already said, we'll see.
I hope that next week will go well for all of us and that I will return for another year at college, and experience the old campuses (Midmills and Longman) and the new (Beechwood).
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-three - Review of the week so far
I have past my 50th Blog - Unbelievable!
For the Weblogs class, I'm all up to date as I've past the 30 Blog mark needed for the class. Gordon has asked me to do two blog reviews so I will have a total of five blog reviews done for the class - but, apart from the ones I've done, I know no more. I could do with some blogs I could review for Gordon before the course ends on the 11th of next month.
We, the course has been asked to come in early tomorrow morning for a class at 9.20am in the G20 Lecture Theatre, then there's the Communications class at 11, and we will be done for the day.
For Graeme, all of my Still Images are done and ready to be presented for Graeme to see. Next week we have a presentation for the Enterprise class of out app, and I've been asked by the group I'm in to do the presentation for the group, and I agreed to do it.
I hope that tomorrow and next week goes well for us all.
Wish us all luck.

50th Blog Post - Week Thirty-three - Five weeks left
News Flash!: Five weeks left! Barely over a month left of the course - Unbelievable!
This my 50th blog post - Just as Unbelievable!
Last week, we went around Inverness, answering a questionnaire set by our lecturers and taking photos as proof of our location and answers. One of the questions asked us to list the candidates of the recent general-election. As we went round listing them and their parties, I attempted to explain the goals of the parties, and know the SNP wanted Scotland out of the UK, but are members of the UK Parliament in London (now the third largest party in Westminster, behind the Conservatives Party and the Labour Party), and how the UKIP (UK Independence Party) wants the UK out of the EU, its leader, Nigel Farage, is a member of the EU Parliament.
This morning we have done a survey set up the college asking what we think of the college and the courses we are studying (in our case Computing courses). Next week we have two assessments for Gordon on the Computers Software and Hardware classes.
To finish Task 6, I just to find an IPMI and PCI Serial Port Drivers for the computer I'm using. Finding them is slightly easy, downloading them onto the computer may be harder. I hope that I will pull through.
Paula's class has changed again - D6. It's the room that everyone complains of the "dirty" keyboards. I don't mind the keyboards, as I grew with the type of keyboards (a cleaner one though I must admit). I think the keyboards are similar to those from the 80s and 90s.
We've been asked to come in earlier on Thursday morning for a Video Conference of some kind, at least I will be in for Communications after that.
I hope that this week goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-two - The Germans are coming to Inverness College
Six weeks to go! I can't believe it!
Tomorrow, German students from Inverness's German twin city, Augsburg, Bavaria, southern Germany, where the father of the infamous Mozart once lived, will be arriving and we've been asked to help them on their citizenship/ social media project - just I don't know what to do exactly. Maybe it's a good thing that normal classes are not on tomorrow.
Tomorrow morning, I have a dentist appointment in the morning so I will miss the start of our meeting of the German students, but I hope that I won't be too late for the start in the morning.
This won't be the first time I've met German students from Augsburg. When I was studying NQ IT Apps between Jan and June 2011, one of the classes I was doing was called Event Organisation, and we were asked to organise an event for the German students. Everyone (but me) spent most of the classes arguing with our lecturer, Jodie MacDonald. The arguments began after the class, suggested taking the German students to Inverness Castle, only to be told by Jodie that the only way into the castle was only if we were in trouble with the law, for Inverness Castle is where the Sheriff Court is. Everyone then asked: "Well why do people come to take photos of the castle, if it's not a tourist attraction?" Eventually, we managed to organise an re-enactor to come and explain to the Germans about the Jacobites and the Battle of Culloden.
I hope that this week goes well for all of us and can help the visiting German students in any way we can.
Wish us all luck.

Week Thirty-One - More questions from Gordon
Gordon has given us more questions for our weblog class today:
I hope that these answers are what Gordon is looking for. I just need two more blogs to review, but I need help with that. Hopefully I will find those two blogs.
Wish us all luck

Week Thirty-one - Seven weeks to go
Seven weeks to go till the end of the course. Where has the previous two weeks gone?
Paula's class today (Tuesday) isn't on today but Gordon's class after Paula's has been moved to where her class is so we have Gordon from 9 first thing till 1.15 in the afternoon, with a break at 11. It will be good with Gordon when he's teaching. I just need two blog reviews to do for him, and the three I've already done for him are the only ones I know. All I need for Paula's class are images for my web pages for the class.
On Wednesday, for David's class, I need to get some images and video recordings for the project then put it all together. For Graeme's class I would like to experiment with the paint.net software Graeme has shown us then I can decide on what to do with the images I'm doing for the class.
On Thursday, for Communications class, I need to write up a 700 word report of something related to Digital Media (in case, blogs). Then for Graeme's class, I think that my group has to check where we are with the work on "Good for Apps" site then started designing the app we're making for the class.
Lots to do before the week, and the course in seven weeks, is over. I'd better get started. I'll double-check where I am in the work then get started.
Wish us all luck

Week Thirty - Keeping up with the Blogs
Gordon has asked us to keep our blogs up to date and to do five blog reviews - I have only done two reviews with a third needing to be double checked. Three of the blogs I have done my reviews on are college related, but for the other two blogs I need to do - I know hardly any other blogs. And many blogs may not be the blogs I'll like to read.
So far with this blog, I think that I have done well. This blog is kept up to date every week I'm in or around college and using it to let Gordon know how I have been doing with the classes I do with him and with the other classes and if I need help.
I think that the people who follow by blog will most likely be students like me. Gordon has asked us answer some questions for him by next week and post on our blogs.
- Give me your definition of what a blog is, and why you would want to create on?
- Give a brief description of what RSS does and what it stands for?
- Give three examples of free blogging software?
- weebly website - www.weebly.com
- simplesite website - www.simplesite.com
- b2evolution.net/
- Give me 5 criteria of a high quality blog
- The blog gives good information, not too much if the author of the blog doesn't want to publish too much
- The blog can have images in the blogs
- The blog can have a good title to go with the blog
- The blog can be allowed to be read by any, or unless the author wants just a targeted audience for the blog
- The blog must be proof read before being published in case of any spelling mistakes in the blog and could make the reader to dislike the blog
I hope that these answers are what Gordon is looking for, and that he'll be happy about them.
Here's to the rest of the week and the rest of the course.
Wish us all luck

Week Thirty
Last week went by quickly enough, only problem is that we have eight weeks left before the course ends. Just hard to believe.
In Gordon's hardware classes, I hope that I'm all up to date with the tasks needed done before we continue onto the problem solving of the classes. In Paula's Web Page Creation class, I need to get images of the books I'm writing for my web pages.
In Graeme's Still Images class, I just need to do the paperwork. The in David's class, I just need to a base map and then do some images and audio recordings for the class.
I hope that this week goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Week Twenty-nine - Back at College
Back at College - Hard to believe that the Easter Holiday is over for us. The past couple of weeks has been too warm for my liking, but I hope that summer will be cooler than it has been for the past couple of years.
So far today, we have reset our computers in Gordon's class and so far so good and now we just need to check our notes to see where we are and start work again.
I hope that this week is all about getting back into the routine of the week and will be at a steady pace for us all.

Week Twenty-Eight - Holidays Starts
The end of the week and the Easter Holidays starts for us today. It has been an interesting week in which we are told what's in store for when we get back. I hope to look forward for it.
See you again on the 14 of April.
Wish us all a happy holiday.

Week Twenty-Seven - What's in store for this week?
Last week I did more for Paula's class and I've managed to get a lot of work done. Just have a work pattern to the making of the web code and I can get through with ease.
Gordon has told us about a progression form, I just need to get one and write a personal statement for Gordon and fill the form.
There is no Communications class this week, but we do need to write something related to the course for the class.
We now know when we're holiday for Easter: starting on after we're done on Thursday till the fourteenth of next month.
I hope that this week goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Week Twenty-Six - What's in store this week? - And a riddle from Gordon
Back at college, and some of last week's mixed feelings have gone thankfully. We were have a visitor called Campbell Grant from SiteKit via Video Conferencing in lecture theatre G20 because this week is about business creation. All I got was about being motivated on what you do. We saw students from other parts of the UHI, despite the rouble with the visitor's powerpoint presentation.
In Paula's class I developed more of the coding behind the websites I'm creating for the class. It's getting there slowly, but surely. I'm happy of how the websites I'm making is getting on.
In Gordon's classes, we have started Troubleshooting and we were asked how a person who lives in the penthouse of the 55th floor, get the lift down in the morning on his way to work. On his way back, he takes the lift, but gets off on the 15th floor and walks the rest of the floors up - except for when it's raining or when he as a friend in the lift. See if you can work it out.
Graeme and David's class tomorrow isn't on, but I'll just as usual and get other work done.
What don't know what's in store for us this week, but I hope that all goes well for us.
Wish us all luck.

Week Twenty-Five - Review of Week Twenty-Four - Still Mixed Feelings
Last week was a week of mixed feelings - ECDL Presentation Assessment was a success, if only the rest of the week was as up lifting.
Just need to sort out what I'm doing next year. I hope to do Level 6, just need to fill in any form that needs filled in and hand it in to Gordon or to anyone to the form should go to.
I hope that everything goes well for everyone else.
Wish us all luck.

Week Twenty-Four - Wednesday - Mixed feelings
Good News! - My ECDL Presentation Assessment passed! Just the Improving Productivity to do and my time with the ECDL will be over!
While I may have gained ground for the ECDL, I feel like I'm struggling to gain ground elsewhere. For Graeme's Still Images class, I just need to decide what do the project on. For David's class, I feel like I know what to do, but don't have any ideas for what to do. It reminds me of the Video Editing and Audio Editing somewhat.
Just need to some help.
Here's to the rest of the week.
Wish us all luck.

Week Twenty-Four - White Start - Again!
Just when we thought that the snow was gone and spring was coming the snow comes back!
I may have arrived at college ten minutes later than usual, but not after class starts. An ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) Assessment is set for today by me. After that, I will have one more unit to do and my ECDL is all done and dusted.
I have talked to David and Gordon about to Wednesday class and I have a better idea of what to do.
I just need to have the pitch for the computer app in Graeme's Thursday Enterprise class and that'll be one more task done.
I've got a four minute talk in Thursday's Communication class about Sid Meier's Pirates, a computer game that involves pirates and lets more that I enjoy doing.
Busy week, by the sounds of it, but I'm sure that I'll pull through.
Wish us all luck

Week Twenty-Three - Review of the the Week
Another quick week. David's class is finally making sense after asking David and talking to Gordon in the PAT interviews. We've been asked in Communications class to do a talk for the class (I'm doing Sid Meier's Pirates 2004 video game). ECDL Assessment due to next Tuesday, then there's one more assessment for ECDL to do.
Hopefully that next week will go well.
Wish us all luck.

Week Twenty-Three
Well, last week was an interesting week and I hope that this week will be just as interesting. The Web Page Design is asking for us to create a website of our own, just one question: what about?
David's class on Wednesdays seems to be quiet, just I don't quite understand what we need to do for the class.
Today, Gordon has asked us to select computer's main units for us, one for each of us to use, for the next fourteen weeks. Then Gordon asked us to fill in a second Guidance Interview form for him. So far, I'm at Task3A, in which we install Anti-Virus Software on our computers. Just have the computer software updated and all set to go.
Hopefully this week will go well.
Wish us all luck

Week Twenty-Two - Review of Week Twenty-One
Last week was a quiet week. In David's class, David was asking us to create a map of Inverness with tourist attractions to visit marked on it. Trouble is that there's a lot of places of interest in and around Inverness and I'll have to get the map to scale.
In Graeme's Thursday class, Enterprise, we got a new member, Cameron. He seems to have got the hang of things in the group - even though we don't have an idea for the app. To be honest, I don't know what app we could create as everyone keeps saying that "there's an app for everything".
At least Gordon is back this week and this week may be just as fun as last week.
Wish all luck.

Weeky Twenty-one - Quiet start
It has been a quiet start for the week. With only Paula's class today, we have had an interesting introduction about HTML in her class and she has told us to plan our own website - sounds interesting and may be worth a try.
Hopefully the rest of the week will just as interesting.
Wish us all luck.

Week Twenty - Review of the week
What a week! Graeme not in at college and Gordon says that he won't be in next week.
Gordon has given us work to do next week. David has too - plot out ten places in Inverness we like to visit on a map for. Sounds easy.
The Enterprise class with Graeme seems to be one that I may struggle as I have never done anything to do with computer apps before, only heard of them and have rough idea of what they are and what they're supposed to do and why we have them.
Let's hope that next week will be better than this week has been.
Wish us all luck.

Week Twenty - Review of Week Nineteen
Despite being told of classroom changes mentioned due to more students than computers, we managed to get through the week. The timetable isn't that much different from the last one. Only Thursday is the one with the most changes. Communications from 11.15 till 1.15 then Enterprise from 2 till 4. I have done Communications Int2, so there is an option to do Communications Higher or ECDL Extra, I just need to talk to Gordon about that.
I hope that this week will go well for us all.
Wish us all luck.

Week Nineteen - Start of the new Semester
The first day of the first semester seems to have been a quiet one with new students joining in and with the lecturers (Gordon and new lecturer, Paula Sime) explaining what is expected for the modules in this semester. Today seems to have gone quickly too.
Gordon's class asked us to find certain devices for a computer with a £600 budget, sounds easy, just a bit harder listing my findings. I hope that I will understand Paula's module as it progresses through the semester.
The timetable doesn't look too bad for us this week, I just hope that this week will be about finding out about the new modules.
Lets hope that this week won't be too bad for us all.

Week Eighteen - Review of the Week and End of Semester 1
End of the week and the first semester - hard to believe and just crazy!
Yesterday was finished quickly with all the work for Stephen Duncan done and submitted. And that I am happy of. The Video Editing and Audio Editing classes have been fun to do, despite the group I was in pulling a disappearing act. I thick that I could make my our videos if I give it a try.
Just to double check with Graeme and then it will be the end of the semester before we return next week for the new semester and new classes (and new challenges for us). And I have done all the work needed to do - Excellent!
It's just hard to believe that the semester is over already - it seems to have fly by so quickly. I wonder how quick the next semester goes.
Here's to the new semester
Wish us all luck

Week Eighteen - Approaching the end of Semester 1
The final week of Semester 1. Hard to believe.
Even harder to believe that is all the work has to be double-checked before being submitted in. I just hope that the lecturers' paperwork with submitted work agrees with what I'm sure I submitted in for them.
The new timetable doesn't look that much different with the old one (apart from Thursday).
Lets hope that this week will work out well.
Wish us all luck.

Week Seventeen - Review of the week
What a week! A white start to the week with a bigger number of students in the first class of the week than was perhaps expected by Gordon. We must have been at least one or two people short. Then there was that fire drill which caused us to go out into the snow and the final class to end early (there was only about four of us in the class with Graeme).
Wednesday had less than Tuesday for weblogs and then Stephen's class in Video Editing and Audio Editing. The video and audio recordings are all done, just the paperwork to finish up for next week before the timetable changes.
Today is wet, wet, wet outside. Raining cats and dogs might be the correct phrase for today. This week feels like a quick one, but with a lot of work done slowly. But I feel that the work done this week has been good.
Lets hope that next week will be easier for all before our timetable changes.
Wish all luck

Week Seventeen - White Start, Full House
Week Seventeen seems to have arrived quickly - with a white start of the day.
Gordon seemed to be expecting less than usual due to the snowy weather that seems to have covered this corner of the Highlands. I can image after the high winds at the end of last week - two trees fell onto Culloden Road outside Inverness near where I live. One damaged a lamppost and the men cutting the trees had to wait till the power was off before they could start. I was watching the cutting and removal of the other tree (the biggest of the two) and watched the bottom part of the truck right itself as it was being cut (I even got to stand in the middle of the road due to the road being closed between Drumossie's junction and Simpsons Garden Centre).
Gordon has asked us all to use this week and next week to finish off any unfinished work that needs to done before the timetables change at the end of next week. As far as I'm aware, both my works for Graeme is done. Just need to check the paperwork for the Video and Audio classes for Stephen.
Hopefully this week may fair better than last week.
Wish us all luck

Week Sixteen - Review of the Returning Week
I just don't know how to put it. Yesterday we were given some time off since Stephen isn't in, but we still have work to do (or at least I do for went over my video for the Video and Audio classes). I am happy with my video however simple it may seem.
Today, Graeme is at a meeting so we have the same thing as yesterday, so I'm doing a blog for Gordon and double checking everything over again.
It was has been an interesting week returning to college, we've been hardly one might call being in, but it's a good way of getting back into the work. Hopefully next week will be better.
Wish us all luck

Week Sixteen - Back at College
Christmas and New Year seems to have past quickly as always every year - and it was fantastic and quiet.
We're back at Longman for the new term and we have just three or four weeks till the timetable changes and we start the new one.
I wonder what Gordon has planned for us.
