What a week, a week that we've been reminded about our assessments. The Season of Assessments, as I call this time of the year, really has begun.
Suzanne's software development class just needs me to type up the documentation of the software created for the class's assessment.
In Suzanne's math class, we have been looking at Outcome 2, and we have an assessment of the outcome next Wednesday. In Adrain's Network class, we've done some knowledge tests (two of them) with a third to do at home.
In Suzanne's Thursday PC Passport, the database (Access) part is done, and I have started on the spreadsheet (Excel) part. So far the Excel has gone very well.
Next Monday, we have the day off due the May Day holiday.
I hope that next week will go well for all of us and that we will succeed in our Season of Assessments.
Wish us all luck.

Week 32 - Busy weekend and quiet start again
Over the weekend, I was busy sorting the sum for Suzanne's database project, and with help from my dad and information from the Help icon in Access, I was able to completed the task, and this morning I was able completed the tasks for the database project that is due in this Thursday.
In David's class, we talked about animation and some animation companies such as Pixar (famous for Monsters, Inc. and Cars) and Aardman Animations (famous for the stop-motion Wallace and Gromit). For the animations project, we've been asked to do a motion tween of a seagull.
If you wish to have a go for yourself, here's a link for you to try first as it's helpful in telling you how to get started and gets clear instructions in how to start the motion tween:

I have completed and submitted my application for next year. David told us that we wish to do the next level up for Digital Media Computing, we have to go to the Moray College UHI, in Elgin.
Next Monday (the 2nd) will be another day off for us as it's the May Day Holiday.
I hope that this week goes well for all of us and that I'll come back to college for HNC Computing Part-time.
Update from later at 16:50:
I have completed my video and I have uploaded it into a MPEG-4 video for David. David wants us to put our animation pieces of seagulls onto a webpage. Hopefully for Networking, we may have the visitor from CapGemini to tell us volunteering work. Suzanne's Software class requires to hand in our coding for our pieces of software on tomorrow (Tuesday).
Wish us all luck.

Reiew of Week 31 - Busy weekend in store
Today the Queen turns 90! Happy Birthday Your Majesty.
End of another week at college for us.
Adrian's PAT class was interesting with the person from Guidance, but the Networking class's visitor didn't come, so we listened to Adrian.
Suzanne's software assessment is almost complete, I think we're so close, but yet so far. Suzanne's second PC Passport assessment (database part) is madding, its instructions are well out of date each one contradicts each other. I'm going to have start all over again.
I hope that next week will go well for us all.
Wish us all luck.

Week 31 - Quiet Start and Eight Weeks Left
This week seems to have started quietly. David is not in, so his classes aren't on today, but I hope to double check all other from college such as Suzanne's software assessment.
When I checked my college diary, I discovered that we have eight weeks left till the course is done. For Suzanne's maths class, we have about three or four outcomes left to test ourselves with. Suzanne's software class will likely be as testing as ever this week.
For Adrian's Wednesday classes, both PAT and Networking, we may have visitors. A visitor from Guidance for PAT to help us sort our future studies next year, and a possible visitor from Capgemini for volunteer work and job ideas in the near future. Both sound interesting, the first most of all.
I hope that this week goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

Review of Week 30 - An Interesting Week
We have had two assessments this week, both of them yesterday (Wednesday). The first was mathematics (which I passed) and the other was in out PAT class, I haven't heard of my results yet.
In Suzanne's software class, I have managed to make a good start with the assessment we've been given, just three more pieces or sections of codes to put in and then hope for the best on that.
For Suzanne's PC Passport assessment, one of the tasks asks for a sum to be done inside the Microsoft Access, I must admit, I haven't done that before, I may have to some experiment to get that to work, but I hope to get the hang of it.
I hope that next week will go well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.

90th Blog - Week 30 - We're back
Hi all, we're back from our Easter Holidays.
I'm sorry to say that the holidays past by quickly - perhaps too quickly.
So far, for David's class, the video for DME is nearly done, and we've started looking at Animation and what we need for the class. For Animation we might be using Adobe Flash Player. David has given a link to a video about the software and that can be useful in creating an animation for him. I might need some practice first. In the second part of David's class, we mentioned the website address for other countries (like uk for Britain and pl for Poland).
I have started to fill my application for next year, I just need to go over some small details with Adrian Bruce when I see him on Wednesday for PAT Class and hopefully send it in and I will wait to see if it will be good enough to get back into college next year.
I think that this week will be the "Time to Wake Up Week" before the period I call the "Season of Assessments" begins. I hope that this week goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.
