The Easter Holidays have been a reasonably quiet (and quick) holidays - now the period I call "The Season of Assessments" will begin at college.
I'm sorry that April's Fools Day wasn't a college day as I was hoping to get back at Iain for confusing me over the start of the Christmas Holidays, but I still hope to get even.
We had Winter's Last Hurrah here in Inverness during the first week. Tuesday and Wednesday saw us waking to snow in the mornings and Wednesday gave us hailstones. Thursday was sunny while Friday was cloudy and grey and cool, but neither was too cold to have snow. For the second week, there was sunny and cloudy spells, with the second Friday starting with some rain in the morning.
I have caught up with the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast as much as I could. I managed to watch Katarina Johnson-Thompson finish first in the 800 metres race in the Heptathlon and winning gold for the event (Well Done Katarina Johnson-Thompson!). I enjoyed watching BBC 's Mike Bushell's slashing interview with the English Swimming team, before the gold winning English Netball team attempted a similar thing.
I have been thinking on a theme for Digital Imaging about points of view and what sort of genres to use, such as cityscapes and landscapes, in and around Inverness. I just needed to take the photos (which I have done) and choose which ones to go for before I get back to college and alter them (I'm thinking of about 15 of them) on Photoshop.
I've been starting to plan out my studies more with the completion of NC Media this year before finishing ECDL Advanced Presentation.
I hope that this term till the end of the course goes well for all of us.
Wish us all luck.
